Description

The Little Nipper Mouse Trap is the UK's leading selling mouse trap. The unique treadle design of this, wooden platform mousetrap, makes it one of the most effective traps available. Unlike other wooden snap traps, the treadle has been designed as part of the base, where the slightest motion is enough to trigger the trap. Comes as a twin pack for increased catch-rate.

Product Facts & Uses

How To Use Little Nipper Mouse Traps

  1. Ensure food sources are removed from the treatment area.
  2. Ideal location for traps is against a wall in a protected area, away from people, animals and wildlife, where there are signs of mouse activity, such as fresh mouse droppings or near runways and feeding places.
  3. Position traps at right angles to walls, with bait well facing the wall.
  4. For best results replenish using Provoke Professional Mouse Attractant. Chocolate or peanut butter are effective alternatives.
  5. Place the baited mouse trap 5 metres apart, reducing to 3 metres apart in cases of high infestation.
  6. Inspect bait regularly and replace it as necessary until no more bait is taken.
  7. Replace any bait which has been damaged by water or contaminated by dirt.
  8. Block entry holes and target potential sources of mouse infestations such as garages and garden sheds.

How To Set the Little Nipper Mouse Trap

  • Place a small portion of food such as chocolate spread or peanut butter onto the metal spike. For best results, we recommend using Provoke Professional Mouse Attractant.
  • Pull back the metal clasp carefully to full extent, pressing down firmly before locking into place. Do not put fingers inside trap.
  • Position the thin metal arm through loop holding clasp in place. Release pressure gently. The trap is now set. Hold the trap by the base and carefully place in designated area.

Snap! Gotcha.

The "little nipper" wooden mousetrap succeeded first time, to catch my ultra-cunning mouse, which had successfully removed 4 or 5 lots of bait from previous trap.Mind you, the setting is not easy - it's so sensitive.Your new metal trap alongside was not triggered. Easier to set, though.Maybe there are no more mice.

Effective and good value

I read the reviews of other traps and felt that these were the best option for me as I needed results quickly and they certainly work. I used peanut butter (as per another review) and caught 2 mice within 24 hours. They are pretty delicate and take a bit of patience to set - don't use anything too heavy (I tried chocolate brownie it was too much and too heavy) and keep them flush against a wall or along the run where the mice go (this was advice from a pest controller). A couple of times the mice have got the better of the trap and set it off without getting caught but this is normal allegedly as they're 'quite clever' apparently. I have been next to one when it goes off and its all over within seconds, definately a good option if you want permanently rid. Someone did say to me that these are the best method to trap mice and they use them all the time rather than more expensive methods as they are the most effective when dealing with a small mouse problem. I also used a little piece of Snickers as bait again very effective (peanuts and chocolate seemingly unresistable to mice)

These traditional traps have always worked for me, great products that always get the job done, feel strong and with a bit of peanut butter (secret weapon) they seem to catch every time.
